The airport at Denpasar (DPS) is approximately 90 minutes away by car and the nearest beach resort at Sanur takes about an hour. Please be advised that Mt Agung, the largest volcano on the island has recently shown signs of activity and since September 2017 has, on occasions, emitted steam and ash. Twice this has resulted in the airport being closed due to the risk to aviation from ash. Guests are advised to monitor the situation if there are reports of increased volcanic activity.
